So I’m back in black…! No for real. Got a black turtleneck on, oh and it’s not September, so that means this sucka is up to date!
Thinkin purple, though. Purple cows that is. Later, I’m going to pray purple. Haven’t truly done that yet. There are A TRILLION places that don the brownest/bleakest version of this metaphor.
Not saying that my church is purple… or brown, just agreeing with Mark Batterson, and praying.
My church is though going through transition and tough times financially. Pray for Cheraw First Baptist. Pray for us to look like God, show up like God in our little plot of this world, and rely solely on GOD to make that happen. Pray for our leadership, and against potential chilly hearts and not-of-God-words. We’re a fairly small church, though large for our small town, in “The Prettiest Town in Dixie” that aches for someone to look more like Jesus.
I’m excited for more minutes in life during this next little season, so check back!
Oh, and I’m excited for Christmas! Can you tell???

I've read Mark's Lion book and my church has done six-week sermon series on both books: Lion and Goose.
